How To: Hard Reset BlackBerry (all models)

**With BlackBerry it is important to back up your Data regularly***

1st Method (applies to all models)

Hard Reset (computer)

1.  Plug your phone Into the computer via USB and Launch BlackBerry Desktop Manager (if you do not have it click here)                                 
2. When Desktop manager opens click Back up and Restore
3. If data is on phone click Back up Data
4. When back up is complete click Restore Phone

 2nd Method (9700 and newer models)

 Hard Reset (through Phone)

1. Open Menu and Click on Options
2. Click on Security Options
3. Click On Security Wipe
4. Enter "blackberry" to confirm Wipe

 3rd Method (applies to Pearl 8100/8110/8120/8130/8220/ Curve8300/8310/8320/8330/8520/8800/8820/8830/8900/9500/9530/ Storm 9630)
 
Hard Reset (through Phone)

1. Open Menu and click Options
2. Click Security Options 
3. Click Gerneral Setting
4. Click Menu & choose Wipe Handheld

  If you didn't back up or data previously or have and earlier back up your phone will be completely erased to factory settings
